Aimless Golpo (Story) consists of 18 stories written over a period of 5 months while staying abroad after superannuation from government service at the beginning of 2009.
Stories included in the book were written while on vacation in the US and UK. It is the work that germinated during my five months stay in these two countries.
There was nothing much to do over there, except on weekends, when I got the opportunity to move around with my children. Hence, I kept myself occupied through writing. The stories are based on my observations and feelings with an objective to carry forward the message that one needs to contribute to the growth of the society in which one lives.
I am at pain to note that there are no role models. Almost everyone is trying to project themselves on false note and many in the society live under a false cover. I am afraid that these are going to affect the coming generations and those poor ones will have to face tough scenarios in life.
I have attempted to communicate my feelings and observations through these pages to my dear readers with a cautionary note to those who are at the helm of affairs: Please work for society’s enrichment and ignore personal glorification and false ego so that your grandchildren can walk straight on roads keeping their heads held up high with pride saying, “Yes My grandparents contributed to our society where everyone gets a solid support to excel.” Otherwise they have to keep their heads down with shame for your acts of selfishness and meanness.
I would appreciate receiving comments from my valued readers on my writing.
