Library & Information Science Promotion Society

The purpose of this Society is to achieve the following aims and objectives:

• To inculcate the reading habit among the members and the public;
• To establish and maintain libraries or reading-rooms for special/general use among the members and the public;
• To establish and maintain research centers/colleges for the development and promotion of Library & Information Science;
• To conduct Seminars, Workshops, Courses, etc., for the development and promotion of Library & Information Science;
• To publish Journals, Newsletters, etc., of relevance;
• To interact and co-operate with national and international organizations with common objectives;
